pictures from the MTC

Okay why these pictures are so tiny I have no idea why..............

Matt didnt tells us who these other people are or anything but most are in the MTC.

Sorry I haven't kept this up, I have been busy but also I can't figure out how to get his actual letters onto this blog.. I'm sure I could figure it out but I don't have time to try. Anyway he sent his camera chip home and so ill post pictures on.

Matt's first companions name was Elder Pichon. Matt seemed to really like him as a companion. He was transferred a couple weeks ago, and is now struggling a bit with this new companion... Matt is doing awesome though and they just had their first baptism.

Her name is Frances Holden, and she has been working with the missionaries for 2 years. Matt said that she almost didn't make it to her own confirmation, but she ran a half a mile to get there and barley made it on time, he also describes her as 5 feet and 150 pounds..
She must not have quiet understood how things all worked because she asked her (girl) friend to confirm her.. haha Bless her heart!
Matt has become real good friends with a family from South Africa. Xulani and Tando.. Their native language is that clicking language and Matt loves it!
He has 3 more baptisms lined up and is hoping that they all pull through and don't back out at the last second.
With his first companion he had a car that they got to drive around in.. He loved that little purple hatch back! But now being transferred, he doesn't have a car and he walking everywhere.
My parent's received a nice letter from a member of the first ward Matt was in, saying how much they love Matt and how he just takes care of everybody and loves to cook for all of them.

Matt really feels a bit lonely and has told me that he really wants people, anyone to write him. He is a very good writer, and he will write you back! he says he want s to hear from everyone and hear everything that is going on! So if you have a second of your time and want to write Matt I know it would make his day!

Off to England for Elder Ashby.

We went to this English store up in SLC.

I first want to start out by saying that the talk that Matt gave at his farewell was amazing! I don't say that just because i'm his sister, I say that becasue I know in my heart what an amazing person Matt is. Always thinking of other people before himself. Always trying to make people laugh and let them know how special they are. Friends mean a lot to Matt, and he has so many amazing friends. I would like to say to their families thank you for raising such amazing young guys who have helped Matt come so far.

Matt left for the MTC on July 3, 2009. He went sraight to the MTC in Enland. It was so hard for us to say good bye, only because I think I have figured out that he is the heart of our family. Always keeping us on our toes, and making our stomaches hurt from laughing so hard. We are all so proud of the guy! I can't wait to hear of all the peoples hearts he touches in England, and how many friends he makes.
His first email was hilarious. So random, as he explains how the guy sitting behind him kept kicking his seat for 7 hours on the plane and how he wanted to jump out of the plane and plung to his death. His compainion is a little off but seems to be a solid guy, and he likes him. He would give his pinky fingers and pinky toes to have a Mountain Dew or a coke. He realized he wont have a chance to try out for American Idol because his voice isnt as good as he thought. I'm sure he still sings loud and in the shower. The night before when we were all helping him pack we found out what Matt really thinks about taking baths. He took more bubble bath than a chick would. He bought out bath and body works from their aromatherapy stress relief bubble bath. What a goon! Hey at least his companions wont be writing to their parent's saying their companion stinks cause he doesn't shower...

We miss Matt, but are so proud of him and look forward to getting his emails and letters with his terrible handwriting on them, you would think you need someone to translate them, but we love them. We love all of you who support Matt and we will keep this updated so everyone can know how he is doing and what's going on.
Love Brit
